Gallery One93 is pleased to host our upcoming fundraising event – all profits are donated to the wonderful Children’s Hospital Foundation, Qld. This event is the book launch of Gregory Ladner’s fascinating memoir of his life as a fashion designer on Friday 12th May at 6pm, with Annie from ‘Annie’s Books on Peregian’ introducing Gregory and his book.  In addition to his careers in fashion and now writing, Gregory is also a painter of considerable note.  We are proud to be exhibiting a collection of his beautiful paintings (abstract and figurative) which are inspired by his love of the Australian wildlife and bush.

‘A Boy and His Bear’ is Gregory’s raw and hilarious memoir about a boy of humble beginnings in working-class Melbourne who goes from dressing up his teddy to designing for Melbourne’s high society. Gregory Ladner lifts the lid on a world of gorgeous women, glamourous gowns and salacious secrets. It’s a rags-to-riches story – without the rags!
